But was hit by artillery fire on July 7, 1937.

The gunpowder on the Lugou Bridge has long since dissipated
China has undergone earth-shaking changes
We are enough to comfort the ancestors
The mountains and rivers are fine, everything is as you wish
China today
It’s not China in 1937 anymore
But the gunfire at Lugou Bridge still echoes in my ears
We remember history, not to perpetuate hatred
But to prevent the tragedy of history from repeating the Chinese people who have experienced suffering
I know the hard way to live a happy life
Defence and love for the motherland
Maintain and cherish peace
Never shake today, no matter where you are
